Financing FAQ

Do I need good credit to qualify?
No — our lease-to-own partners (Acima and Snap Finance) specialize in options for people with no credit, limited credit, or past credit challenges. Afterpay uses a soft credit check for its buy-now-pay-later program. Approval decisions are based on multiple factors, not just your credit score.
Will applying hurt my credit score?
Snap Finance and Acima don't perform hard credit inquiries. Afterpay uses a soft check. None of these should significantly impact your credit score just to apply.
What's the difference between Afterpay and lease-to-own?
Afterpay splits your purchase into 4 equal payments over 6 weeks with 0% interest when paid on time — best for smaller purchases you can pay off quickly. Lease-to-own (Acima, Snap) gives you longer terms (up to 12 months) with weekly/biweekly payment options — better for larger builds and if you need more time.
What do I need to apply?
Generally: an active checking account or debit card, government-issued photo ID, and proof of income. For Afterpay you'll need a debit or credit card. For lease-to-own providers, you'll need 3 months of income history and either an SSN or ITIN (Acima accepts ITIN). Requirements vary slightly by provider.
How much can I get approved for?
Snap Finance and Acima approve up to $5,000. Afterpay amounts vary based on your profile. Your actual approval depends on the provider's decisioning — apply to see your specific amount.
Can I pay off my lease early?
Yes — all providers offer early payoff options. Acima has a 90-day early purchase discount. Snap allows early payoff. Afterpay lets you pay off anytime through the app.
What services can I finance?
New wheel and tire packages, powder coating on your wheels, custom builds, and complete installation services. Come to the shop or call us — we'll build the quote and you pick the financing option that works for you.

It started with one wheel. Back in 2002, Jarvis Chaney opened Jay's Wheel Repair on Glenwood Road in Decatur with a simple idea — treat every wheel like it was on your own car, and stand behind your work with a written warranty.

Two decades later, that idea still drives us. We've grown, but we haven't lost the family-shop feel that Metro Atlanta customers come back to us for. Every bent rim, cracked wheel, or curb-scratched alloy that comes through our doors gets the same attention: careful diagnosis, precision work, and honest pricing.

We don't outsource anything. Every service — from powder coating and caliper painting to structural welding and precision alignment — happens in our shop, by our team. That's how we can back everything with warranty. That's how we've built our reputation.
